Congratulations and well done Keith and Jia Yu!

The Singapore Police Force – National Police Cadet Corps Badge (SPF – NPCC Badge) seeks to recognize cadets with good leadership qualities, great consistency and outstanding achievements. It is the pinnacle NPCC badge that cadets all over Singapore vie for. Nominated cadets have to go through two rounds of rigorous interviews at Area and NPCC HQ levels, where they were tested on police and NPCC-related knowledge, as well as present their contributions and learning experiences gleaned through the years in their respective units. In 2019, 149 outstanding cadets, out of 363 nominations, were selected from 119 NPCC school units.

SGS is very proud that two of its NPCC cadets have been awarded the SPF-NPCC Badge this year. They are Station Inspector (NPCC) Tan Jia Yu from Secondary 4E2 and Station Inspector (NPCC) Keith Cheng from Secondary 4E1.

Said Jia Yu after attaining the SPF-NPCC Badge, “I feel really thrilled to attain this prestigious badge. The amount of effort and dedication invested into NPCC has certainly paid off. We should always dare to take up opportunities.”

Keith was also visibly elated by the news of his conferment, “Since Secondary 1, I already knew that I wanted to do my best to attain the SPF-NPCC Badge. After I set my mind on this goal, I strived very hard and never gave up even in the face of adversities. After almost four years of blood, sweat and tears, I have finally made it. I am deeply honored to be awarded this prestigious badge.”
