HOD PE/CCA

Daniel has a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Geography from Simon Fraser University in Canada, and received his Postgraduate Diploma in Education, specializing in Physical Education in 1997. He started teaching in Serangoon Garden Technical School, and has been in Serangoon Garden Secondary since 2003 following the merger of the 2 schools.

Daniel became Sports Secretary in 2001, and completed his Diploma in Departmental Management course in 2006. He was appointed HOD in 2007. He has worked with his team of dedicated teachers in attaining the Sustained Achievement Award (Uniformed Groups) (9th Award) and the Sustained Achievement Award (Performing Arts). Over the years, he has conducted several climbing expeditions in Malaysia, and 2 week-long Service Learning trips to Sok Ann Samrong High School School in Cambodia. An outdoor, tennis and floorball enthusiast, he believes in the holistic development of students and the inculcation of values through sports and Co-Curricular Activities.
