With 23 members, the Mathematics Department is built upon strong teamwork. It consists of 6 Math, 2 Math/EL, 3 CPA/Math, 1 EBS/Math, 1 Math/Social Studies, 3 Science/Math, 2 D&T/Math, 2 PE/Math, 1 adjunct and 1 contract teachers as well as 1 Allied Educator, who are guided by the department’s vision, mission, belief and principles below.

Guiding Principles for our teachers:
- We will accept the challenge of teaching Mathematics and learn continuously in every way so that our pupils learn well>
- We will adapt teaching strategies to meet the different learning styles of pupils
- We will respect all questions by our pupils
- We will pursue the response of “I still don’t understand’ through different avenues until there is understanding by our pupils
- We will recognize that some pupils fear or dislike mathematics and be compassionate and understanding when teaching
- We will convey to our pupils that there self-worth is unrelated to their Mathematics skills
- We will identify pupils in need of extra help and ensure they get it
