The department aims to develop pupils who seek to learn and are ready to contribute and stand by Singapore. We want our students to be critical thinkers who are able to apply their learning across different contexts. We aim to do this by creating authentic tasks and activities that make learning relevant and meaningful to the learner. To do this, we have a group of 14 teachers, three of whom are Heads of Department, one Subject Head and one Senior Teacher.

All our teachers are involved in professional learning teams to help pupils learn better, as we seek to help them gain value added performance for the national examinations.
